What are the basics of wearing heels that we are unaware of?
Share
Hi, We will keep this short and straightforward. This guide will empower you to make informed choices, one stylish step at a time.
What heel height should you wear, and for how long?
- Kitten Heels (1.5 - 2 inches): Your everyday BFFs! These offer minimal height and are perfect for working hours.
- Mid-Heels (1.5-3 inches): Pack a punch for a night out, but the ideal wear time, as recommended by podiatrists, is 3-4 hours and not more.
-
High heels (3 inches and above): These are not good for your feet and ideally not recommended by podiatrists. If wearing, don’t hold on to them for more than an hour. Hence, at Valda, we avoid creating high heels.
Type of heels that are better:
- Ankle Support: Opt for styles with a back strap or slingback for better stability and reduced pressure when lifting your feet.
- Open-Toe Freedom: Open-toe styles allow your toes to breathe and prevent blisters and bunions.
- 3 inches and less: Anything below 3 inches is acceptable, as it puts comparatively less pressure on your forefront.
- Side support: Heels that provide side support from your heel and ankle area secure you from tripping through the sides.
- Sufficiently cushioned: We at Valda use 6+2 mm of German cushion to ensure you walk better. Usually, footwear companies use a 3mm cushion, which settles down over 6 months of use, providing a stone-like feel.
- Balanced toe: If the toe of heels (without wearing them) is touching the floor, that is an unbalanced toe and not good. Look for a heel that has a balanced toe.
And guess what? We at Valda make heels using the same ideology in mind. Explore our collection and find the perfect pair to elevate your unique style while keeping your feet happy!
